We are grateful for the generous support of our community, which allows us to serve the people of Alaska. We are not a government agency, and we rely primarily on the generosity of our fellow Alaskans and businesses to help us fund our vital programs. With the help of hundreds of volunteers and a streamlined administration, we can ensure that about 90 cents of every dollar goes directly to programs and services.

Your donation designation is important. The following options make it easy for you to help.

• American Red Cross of Alaska - Funds designated here allow you to help Alaskans by giving the American Red Cross of Alaska the flexibility to apply the funds where they are needed most.
  
  
• American Red Cross of Alaska - Alaska Disaster Relief Fund. Funds designated here allow you to help Alaskans with every type of disaster. American Red Cross disaster assistance is provided to people in need without charge. This is made possible by voluntary donations of time, money and blood from the American people.
  
  
• American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund - You can help people affected by disasters, like the current floods, by donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. On those rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters. Your gift enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to victims of all disasters. • American Red Cross International Response Fund - You can help those affected by countless crises around the world each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.
